Scheduled

Dear Customer,
We want to inform you of a planned change that will result in about 15 minutes of disruption to your Private Link setup in the window scheduled for your deployment(s) as follows:

Schedule:
AWS - Japan (Tokyo) 09:00 JST Aug 22, 2020

Snowflake engineering is making changes to the AWS - PrivateLink configuration to improve operational efficiency.

Configuration Change:

This maintenance update requires a downtime of approximately 15 minutes.
During this maintenance window, customers using AWS - PrivateLink cannot connect to Snowflake Services. Client programs or workloads with connections established before the maintenance window are dropped and require a restart after the maintenance task is complete.

Configuration Rollback:

We have tested the changes thoroughly. However, if we do encounter problems, we plan to roll back the change and restore the state of the network configuration. This operation will require a downtime of approximately 15 minutes.

Customer Action:

Please plan on stopping your workloads prior to the maintenance window and resume or restart the workloads as needed.

Note: Please note that the service will be down only for a portion of the window of 30 minutes mentioned above.

Please reach out to customer support by opening a support case on the Snowflake Community site for any questions regarding this change to AWS - PrivateLink configuration.

Thank you,
Snowflake Support
